Fees and Payments

At Australian Institute of Design and Construction, we are committed to providing transparent information about fees and flexible payment options to help students plan their studies with confidence. 

This page explains tuition fees, additional charges, payment methods, refunds, and important information for both international and domestic students. 

Course Fees

Each AIDC course has a published fee structure, outlined on the individual course page and in your Letter of Offer. 

Course fees may include: 

  • Tuition fees 
  • Materials fees 
  • Enrolment fee (non-refundable) 

All fees are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD).

Types of Fees

Tuition Fees

Tuition fees cover: 

  • Delivery of training and assessment 
  • Access to learning materials and resources 
  • Use of training facilities and equipment 
  • Trainer and assessor support 

Tuition fees may be payable: 

  • In full, or 
  • By instalments, as outlined in your Letter of Offer 

Materials Fees

Materials fees may apply to some courses and may cover: 

  • Training consumables 
  • Workshop materials 
  • PPE (where applicable) 
  • Printing and learning resources 

Materials fees are listed separately from tuition fees. 

Enrolment Fee

A one-time non-refundable enrolment fee applies to all students. 
This fee covers administrative processing and enrolment setup. 

AIDC offers flexible and convenient payment methods. 

You may pay your fees using: 

  • Credit or debit card (online or in person) 
  • Bank transfer (details provided on your invoice) 
  • In person at the AIDC campus reception 

Payment details and due dates are outlined in your Letter of Offer and invoice. 

International students are usually required to: 

  • Pay an initial deposit before a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) is issued 
  • Pay remaining tuition fees according to the agreed instalment schedule 

Fee schedules are issued in line with: 

  • ESOS Act 
  • National Code 2018 
  • AIDC’s internal policies 

Failure to pay fees on time may affect enrolment and visa conditions. 

AIDC may offer approved payment plans for eligible students. 

Payment plans: 

  • Are assessed on a case-by-case basis 
  • Must be approved before enrolment 
  • Are outlined clearly in writing

Refunds are managed in accordance with: 

  • AIDC Refund Policy 
  • ESOS Act and National Code 2018 (for international students) 
  • Enrolment fees are non-refundable 
  • Tuition refunds depend on: 
  • When written notice of withdrawal is received 
  • Whether the course has commenced 
  • Visa refusal outcomes (international students)

If an international student’s visa application is refused: 

  • AIDC will process refunds in accordance with ESOS requirements 
  • Evidence of visa refusal must be provided in writing 

Refunds are processed within the timeframe specified in AIDC policies. 

Failure to pay fees by the due date may result in: 

  • Suspension of training 
  • Cancellation of enrolment 
  • Reporting to PRISMS (international students) 

Students experiencing financial difficulty are encouraged to contact AIDC before payment due dates. 

  • Invoices are issued via email 
  • Receipts are provided once payment is received 
  • Students should keep copies for visa, tax or personal records

  • Maintain sufficient funds for tuition and living costs 
  • Maintain valid Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) 
  • Meet attendance and course progress requirements 

Failure to meet financial obligations may impact student visa conditions.
